ITC Enquiries without proper information

I was contacted by a call centre agent I told them immediately that they can't offer me a better price. The lady then begged me to have you check, since you guys apparently changed your pricing. I was not informed that checking the pricing would constitute an official enquiry against my name. If I was informed of this at during the call, I would have rejected the phone call all together. Can this please be removed from my ITC record as I feel that this was a case of TCF breach.
