Is it difficult to change a debit order day?

3 months of the wrong debit order day after requesting to have this changed on two occasions. I get paid on the last day of the month my debit should be the 1st. How can the debit be going off on the 24th? I was with Miway in the past with the correct debit day and have gone back to them, starting to regret it.
