INSURED WITH COURTESY CAR BUT CANNOT GET

<p>I incidentally damaged my vehicle keys due to taxi protest that was happening on the 10th of April 2016 in the Eastern Cape. I managed to drive my vehicle for the past 3 days by making an effort of pressing the key hard and it's now getting worse.</p> <p> </p> <p>I contacted my insurer (Mi way) to ask if they can cover for the repair of damaged key and I was informed that they do not cover the damaged key. I then requested if I can get the courtesy car whilst I am repairing the car keys at my expense and Mi way representative told me that if they are not going to pay for the claim they do not authorise courtesy car.</p> <p>What is frustrating me the most is the fact that she (Mi way representative) said that even if you are involved in an accident and the claim is within the excess value that is you will pay it by yourself (insured) you still do not get courtesy car authorised for that particula incident.</p> <p>Meaning though you pay for courtesy car so that you can be safe incase of the time when you are involved in an accident and your vehicle is in for repairs you will not get the courtesy car.</p>
