Insured value of my movables not honoured

Had my laptop insured with a replacement value of R10285.00 and paying a premium based on that value. Just to be told that it is an item that depreciates and as the model is no longer available, it will only be replaced with an item closest to the laptop specs when I purchased it years back, not taking into account that the specs was top of its range when I bought it.
I requested to have the item replaced with a laptop valued at R8500. The consultant came back with a quote based on the valuation of the damaged laptop as it would be valued today @ R7849.00.

They refused to pay R676 more even though I'm am insured for the value above.
No where in the MyWay documentation on MyMovables does it state, that depreciation items will only be replaced based on the current value of the item at time of claim.
The consultant Surita Dunker went to consult with her supervisor Monique Kritzinger about authorising the R8500 laptop, Her response was,We only authorise claims based on the specs and not the value of the item is insured for.
Yet MyWay has no problem to based their premiums on the value of the insured item... Nor do they adjust the value and premium based on how the product depreciates
