Insurance suspended without notice

I was informed that my car insurance in suspended because i dont have an tracker installed in my car. It was agreed when I took the insurance out that I dont need a tracking device and all out a sudden I get this notification that I am not covered. No notification that I must have it installed was sent to me prior to the suspension. Now when I wanted to cancel my insurance I was told that they need a month's notice. That is after I paid a month in advance when I joined. I called 4 times already today to discuss this issue and every time I am put through so someone else en eventually get cut off.
