INSURANCE ******* AND POOR SERVICE
To whom it may concern.
I am totally not happy and satisfied with your claim process and the outcome.
Firstly - I have requested a numerous times for Tshepo Sekome to contact me, because when I call in I am told that Tshepo s handling my claim and they do not have the full details of my claim. Ever since I lodged this claim, I have received only one missed call on the day of the incident (I regard this as poor service).
Secondly - The vehicle has been declared a write-off, while it only cost R28 135.83 to repair it (which the damages sustained to this vehicle are not even 70% of the sum insured), how come is this vehicle uneconomical to repair? According to the Audatex report, "this vehicle in question is however repairable," please clarify on what ground you come to a decision that the vehicle should not be repaired.
Thirdly - I find it very disturbing how you calculate the "buy-Back" option. I buy back the vehicle for R28 500 (your salvage) with damages worth R28 000 and you the insurer come to play with R12 000 and I have to make a loan for the difference so that I can be back to my financial position? You basically salvaging 61% of the sum insured from me! shouldn't my insurance put me back to my financial position?
Are you putting your clients needs first or your profit first as an insurer? My Knowledge of insurance is to put your clients back to their financial position before a claim and not having to let them make a loan just to be back to the their financial position so that you can selvage 61% of the sum insure.
I would like for this claim to be revisited and my vehicle be repaired, I will pay the excess or pay me the cost of the damages, less the excess and selvage the rest and I will fix the vehicle myself.
