Insurance Problem

Hello peter. I have a problem with Miway insurance. On the 14 October 2018 i had a accident on the N1 highway where by a car in front of me just came to a dead stop without indicating or putting hazards on. So i smashed the car at the back. I have a insurance with miway but they are saying they wont cover me since i did not pay this months premium( had financial issues so i reversed the premium). Miway took the car from the place it was towed to the day of the accident to renew-it revonia. Now they are telling me to pay R12500 so that i can get my car saying its towing fee,admin and storage. I do not have that kind of money. Then they said they will negotiate with renew-it to at least let me pay the towing fee only R2000- R3000. Now they are taking forever, they are saying they have not got any feedback from renew-it, what is now worrying me is the more days my car is there the more money i will have to pay, what if miway comes back after a long time saying they were not able to negotiate with renew it so i must pay myself. The fee will be high as i am even struggling to as that R12500 even now. Please help me and advise me on what i should do because i am really worried i will end up loosing my car over this. And also the person I bumped into was the one at fault now she is telling me straight that she will not assist me with anything if i ask her for assistance.
