Insurance is a ****

I was involved in a vehicle accident on the 10th of September 2022 and Auto Body Works in Kempston Road Port Elizabeth was assigned to fix my vehicle. Since last year September 2022 l have been going back and forth with the auto body works. I reported it to my Insurance and my insurance is telling me there is nothing they can do if the auto body works tells them that there is no parts available. I went to request for the parts list that they were claiming that they can not find and l brought them to them the following day after paying for the part almost R6000 with my own money and still they cannot finish off on the vehicle or tell me when l should get delivery of my vehicle let alone what is the hold up. That is fair and fine and l called the insurance again that I now need my car back so that l can fix it myself privately but Miway is telling me this is not possible. So basically what this practically mean is, you pay insurance every month to avoid having to run around fixing you car yourself, but you still have to run around chasing after the auto body works for months to fix the car. This is stupidity and l am disappointed with MIWAY. After the exchange of words happening between the insurance, auto body works and me, l am even scared to drive the car without taking it for second opinion with an independent mechanic. So my question AGAIN is why do we pay for insurance ???
