Insurance Claim

I had an insurance with Miway and my house was broken into on the 13th Feb 2017. I reported the claim the same day and they promised to sort out the claim within 7-10days. More that 30 days later they have been serachign for excuses not to pay the claim.

After calling them several times they decided to call me on tuesday 14th March 2017; to arrange for an assessor to come to my place. the assessor then told them there is an opem field in my area that I am not aware of. Then they said I did not tell them about a previosu claim; that was never processed. today i received a call from miway and they are rejecting the claim because they say i intentionally withheld informatio from them. Had i done that i was not going to give them the previous insurer's details .

Firstly they have been searching for excuses and delaying the processes in order for them not to pay. They are accusing me of intentionally witheling information; which accordnig to them would have increased the premiums by 30%.

Secondly they don't want to take accountability on their part, they are simply rejecting the claim because the amount claimed is more than the premiums already paid.

The burning issue should be the statement about the burglary whicih was provided to them and the police. If the statements were different then maybe I would understand.

What is so annoying is that one is relaxed thinking they have cover for when bad things happens, not knowing that the insurnace company will be searching for excuses not to pay the claims.
