Increased Premiums that I never agreed to and Misrepresentation of facts on my policy schedule

I have business insurance with MiWay for my 3 vehicles (I am currently paying a premium of R5 557.45). I received SMS messages from MiWay (not sure about the date) stating that the agreed kilometres on my insurance cover were between 2000km and 3000km per month , however, the average was between 5000km to 9000Km (estimated) per month .

My Wife (who is also my business partner) called MiWay and adjusted the kilometres and also loaded a "Vehicle Loss of Use" on the cover, the premium came to +/-R6 600.00 (The policy was never amended by MiWay and they never advanced reasons to why the amendments were never effected).

I then received other SMS messages from MiWay on 07 September 2017 stating that the agreed kilometres on my insurance cover were between 2000km and 3000km per month, however, the average was between 5500km to 9300Km per month. I then called MiWay on 21 September 2017 and spoke to a Lady by the name of Helen who amended the Kilometres according to the current monthly averages. I also loaded a "Vehicle Loss of Use" cover for each vehicle and the revised premium came to R7 099.58.

Today (26 September 2017), I called MiWay and requested a revised policy schedule (Spoke to a guy by the name of Lloyd Maphaha who later transferred me to a lady by the name of Mapaseka (Business Client Services Manager), AND TO MY SHOCK AND HORROR, the stated monthly premium on my policy is now R9 522.52.

This is an increase of R2 422.94 which I was never told about. I feel that MiWay is taking advantage of me and secondly that they are guilty of misrepresentation of facts and this is completely unacceptable. I was promised by Helen on 21 September 2017 that her manager (Pamela) will listen to recordings of the initial phone call when my Wife made the changes and get back to me with some feedback but this never happened.

I HAVE BEEN A VERY LOYAL CLIENT TO MIWAY, NEVER MISSED A PREMIUM AND THEREFORE REFUSE TO BE A VICTIM OF THEFT/******ION.

I FIND THIS SITUATION VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE.

The agreed premium on 21 September 2017 was R7 099.58 and that is the premium I accepted and agreed to pay, not R9 522.52. I need MiWay Management to intervene and remedy this situation ASAP, else I will have no choice but to terminate my insurance with them and look for alternative insurance that will be OPEN, HONEST and TRANSPARENT…PS: YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY PLAYERS IN THE INDUSTRY
