If only customer service existed

MiWay Insurance – Claim C*** (Policy ***) | No response + vehicle returned unrepaired

I lodged a formal complaint with MiWay on 4 December 2025 regarding unsatisfactory repairs under Claim C*** for my 2023 Nissan Almera (KY52CZGP). The vehicle was assessed and repaired through MiWay’s process, but when it was declared “ready” the rear damage was still visibly unrepaired, leaving the vehicle in an unacceptable condition. I did convey to the panel beater, that I wanted this repair done at the same time, as the excess would pay for a holiday to Italy! Somewhere, between the panelbeater, MiWay, insisting that the vehichle had to be towed to their as*****t centre, because the assessor could not come to the panel beater. My request was lost... I specically wanted all the dents and scratches repaired...but nobody, sought to inform me of the situation, and worse still... send me the assessors report, so that I could assess the situation?

I must add...that it took MiWay a week to find my car, despite me, personally havin driven the car to the panel beater? Its now the 3rd time, that MiWay seems to "loose my cars"? I'm really astounded...surely, this is their business..guess I am mistaken....

MiWay has not provided a substantive written response for over a week, despite follow-ups. I am requesting, in writing:

1. Confirmation that MiWay will complete the rear repairs under the same claim (with no additional excess), or a proper written decision with supporting evidence and policy clause references if they refuse; 2. Copies of the assessor report/photos, repair authorisation and scope, and the panelbeater job card/invoice; and 3. Confirmation that loss-of-use (“vehicle use loss”) will continue until the vehicle is properly repaired and returned in an acceptable condition.

Please assist to escalate this complaint and obtain an urgent response from MiWay.

This is not a Renew-It problem.
It's a MiWay problem.
Despite my request to yourself, and others copied this mail..I never got a response until AFTER the job was done.
I would have expected MiWay, who insisted on having the vehicle towed to your own assessment centre, to be honest and upfront, with what was going on.
The assessor could clearly see ALL the damages and should have noted the same, as a matter of record, as to what MiWay would be covering.
Instead..I was left in the dark....now I am sitting in a situation... where I have to log another claim...and pay ANOTHER R12 000 excess.
As a matter of fact. The damages to the back of the vehicle occurred during an attempted hijacking, and the driver was too traumatized to go log a complaint at the police station within the required 24 hour period.
It seems that empathy and the spirit of Batho Pele are not an ethos that MiWay subscribes to

Pity....
It's a month later!??
And still no written response?
Seems like MiWay definitely does NOT care that I am deeply disappointed in the unsatisfactory and inadequate handling of this claim.
I must AGAIN reiterate! The 4th claim in a row that MiWay has handled our claim in such an unacceptable manner
