I kept to my side of the contract, MiWay why aren't you?
I have my caravan insured through MiWay. It recently had damage and it was written off. On my policy it is insured for R55000 but today when they had to pay out I was informed they will only pay out R33000. According to them that is the insured value, but the document from them has the value of R55000. I had two options, return the caravan to MiWay and get the insured amount (minus the access) or buy it back and receive an amount of R35750. I chose not to buy it back and now I'm getting even lesser than what it would have been if I kept the caravan. I have this values in writing. The change of ownership has already been signed and couriered to them. They have requested the recordings to hear is something (I'm not sure what) was mentioned in the conversation. My point is they insured the caravan for R55000 and I pay a premium according to that. It sounds as they are looking for some kind of loophole not to honor the claim. From a consumer point of view it is simple, I insure a vehicle for a value, I pay the monthly premium and they pay out when it is needed. I kept to my side of the contract, MiWay why aren't you?
