I am still shocked and will be changing providers

Deep breath.... Not having needed to claim from MiWay at all, I cannot give any feedback yet as to how they handle claims, I do however have very little faith in that process going smoothly considering how my signing up with them has gone. In November 2022 I bought a bike and subsequently had it insured through MiWay as the premium and promises looked good. Shortly after getting the bike I was instructed by MiWay to have a inspection done on the bike at Glasfit in order to complete my profile and have full cover. I did this, took off from work and went to Glasfit and had the bike inspected according to their protocol. Two months later, I get an sms stating that I still need to do the inspection, utterly confused, I get hold of MiWay, only to find out that a mistake on their behalf didn't capture the inspection done, shocker is, the bike during this time, was not insured, unknowing to me off course. And suddenly, it is fine if I just take photos of the bike myself and send it to them ( why did I have to take off work in the first place?? ). Did that, and again got the confirmation that I am now fully covered... Move forward another five months, I keep getting calls from MiWay, I answer only to be utterly disgusted and shocked to my core... In November, when I signed up, I was instructed by MiWay to have a tracker fitted to the bike, which I did, and sent the verification from Netstar to MiWay, I have everything on email. Five months later they phone me, asking whether the bike has a tracker fitted or not, because "there is a gap on your profile", and it states that a tracker has not been fitted, and was told that for the five months that I have been paying my full insurance, believing I am covered, I was not covered for theft and fire, because there is no tracker fitted. WHAT THE ACTUAL F#####, I have done 8000km on that bike, and it has been uninsured this whole time, due to MIWAY's incompetence. Needless to say, as soon as I can, I am moving insurance providers. Others might be more expensive, but at least you're ****ing covered!!!!
