how long does it take to get my car repaired!?

I had an accident last week Tuesday and advised Miway, submitted the claim first thing Wednesday morning. The car was towed and the repairer messaged me and advised me they had the car. Then they also sent a message to say after 2 days saying no-one from Miway had contacted them and I must follow up. I called Miway, and Mandisa said they didn't have my claim. I went through all the same questions I went through when I submitted my claim the first time. Then I got an email saying an assessor had to get a quote from the repairer and check the retail value with the dealer. That was Friday, today is Tuesday, still the assessor has not made these 2 simple calls. 1 week later, no-one has assessed my car, let alone ordered parts to repair it, and no-one can tell me how long it will take, so I can't even make other arrangements. This is ridiculous, how can it take 1 week to make 2 phone calls? Yet I am still paying everyday full price for insurance, for a car I'm not even driving!
