Handling of a 3rd Party Claim

I was involved in a collision on the 12 January 2017 in Midrand Johannesburg, The driver of the other vehicle is currently insured with Mi-Way Insurance. I am not insured. I submitted a claim of a 3rd Party nature for damages caused to my vehicle. Firstly their client bent-the-truth on the accident report indicating that I was the cause of the accident when in fact she ran the amber/red light on that faithful morning, that little detail she forgot to mention. As I made the right turn at an intersection she drove into my car, her insurance company refuted the claim 2 weeks later indicating that I was at fault even though there client failed to stop at the amber/red traffic light. I recieved a bunch of legal jagon indicating how I infact should have ensured this miserable excuse of a human stopped at the intersection before proceeding. We have rules of the road that govern these guidelines of driving a motor vehicle, but clearly these apply to a select few. Now I sit with R35 000 damages to my vehicle. BRILLIANT MI-WAY insurance. Refuting a claim against your client is the easiest option than to pay for your clients' sheer neglect and blatant disrespect for the rules of the road.
