Good to Bad to Worst!
Been a customer for a while and never had an issue until now. Vehicle was damaged by the recent storms in Gauteng region, was assisted with towing good experience. Vehicle was assessed by my mechanic and computer damaged by rain, checked with Miway and happy to find out I was covered for such. The lodging of the claim was a breeze on 15/10/2018 but then things went wrong... Was advised they would collect my vehicle and take it to their approved mechanic to assess. Received sms updates and assumed that all was fine. Took a rental vehicle which is on my policy for a period of 10 days thinking all would be sorted by then. 19/10/2018 Miway contact me wanting to know if I know where my vehicle is??? There seemed to be miscommunication (their words) with the towing people. Asked to be updated urgently. 23/10/2018 I checked with my mechanic about my vehicle as no feedback from Miway. Was informed it was collected 22/10/2018, 7 days after I lodged the claim and advised it would be collected 16/10/2018. 24/10/2018 emailed that my claim is authorised and vehicle is with their mechanic. Mechanic gives me a booking date of 25/10/2018 or 29/10/2018 to bring in my car??? Where is my car... Contact mechanic and they not sure where my vehicle is. Miway unable to provide me with proper feedback. Tomorrow 26/10/2018 is the end of my 10 day car rental, I have no idea what is going on, where my vehicle is, when or who will be repairing it. Requests for Miway to contact me get me nowhere...
I am less than impressed when it appears Miway are trying to prove their "excellent customer service" My experience is that it must be the lucky few that have this, the rest are left probably where my car is, nobody knows!?!?!
Guess I need to consider the Insurance competitor that is contacting me constantly to move.
