Frustrating service
I was involved in an accident on Saturday 16 November 2019 as a result of someone crashing into me. My wife, who is the policy holder, contacted Miway and towtruck was disptached and the car taken away.
There was no direct contact from Miway until we called-in directly on Monday morning only to be told that someone "was going to call us". As I was the driver,I was asked about the accident and provided details. After the call I was told that I have a dedicated person handling my claim and I should contact them to send further information. I sent the consultant, Quinton Koopman, everything (pictures of the car, sketch and details of accident, accident report case number, details of the other driver,my drivers licence etc).
My e-mail was not aknowledged until I called into Miway yet again. Only after this follow up, did the designated consultant call me. I was asked some standard questions, some that I felt were strange in reference to the accident (e.g. where is the car parked during the day?), and after this indicated that I would appreciate it if the claim could be treated as urgent.
To date, we dont have any progress on the claim. My wife, who is the policy holder, is yet to even receive a call providing further feedback. To date, it seems that there car has not even been assessed.
Autoshops are closing in December and I woud have thought that Miway would act swiftly but I'm very dissapointed and it now seems that our claim is treated in accordance with "T's & C's" with no consideration of customer experience and satisfaction.
I'm a previous client of Miway and I similarly had to use this platform to get a matter resolved. I'm really dissaponted that I have to go this same route to be treated as a paying customer.
