Frustrated

On Monday 11th May I received a telephone call inviting me to take the MiWay R1000 challenge. Reluctantly I agreed. The person who phoned referred me to Cindy who then took down all the relevant details. Hearing and understanding the telesales speech was difficult because of lack of clarity due to the accent. Nevertheless after roughly 40 minutes I was referred to an underwriter who then offered the quote. It was R60 more than I am paying at present. When he established that MiWay were more expensive he adjusted the quote to R30 less than I'm currently paying.
Is this ethical and right? Technically MiWay \failed"to beat my current premium. I was then told that Thabo had permission to adjust the payment downwards by up to 7%. The chap next to him had authority to adjust it downwards up to 15%. This means - the \""challenge\"" is something of a farce. MiWay will only pay out R1000 when they cannot under any circumstances beat the current premium. I imagine that is a very small percentage.
In the mean time I used up roughly 50 minutes of my day. I am incredibly frustrated. Is this fair?"""
