Fatima Schroeder gets 5-star rating, Miway not so much.

I had misfortune because the place I am renting, the landlord failed to adequately maintain the structure of the building. With the extreme winds in Gordons Bay the fasia boards landed on my vehicle and because of the age of the vehicle Miway classed my car as a write-off. I was disgusted that they took off an additional excess with a vague line in the policy and only in claim stage do you realise what it means. Miway took R10500 off the payout amount which was a big blow. I asked that the legal department see if they are able to recover at least the excess from my landlord as I know he also has insurance and claimed when this misfortune occured.

Fatima Schroeder was very helpful and I give her a full 5 stars. She helped with the recovery of fees, always remained professional, and I was very happy with her service.

Miway gets a low ranking because not only did they make money off salvaging my vehicle, I suspect they probably got paid out the full value of my insured asset and only gave me the R5500 excess. Who knows, because I am sure there is another vague sentence that makes no sense in the small print that us every day consumer agree to without understanding we are actually being **********.
