Failure to keep claimant informed of progress and process
I submitted a claim on the 4th of March and Kgomotso Mathope was assigned as an assessor to my claim. The policy is under my husband's name and I am covered as a regular driver on one of the vehicles insured. Kgomotso called me on the 9th to confirm the details of the incident and said he will be in contact within the next 2-3 days to inform of the outcome. On the 11th he tried to call me on my cellphone without luck and got hold of the main policyholder. The information or feedback given was very sketchy and I had hoped that after 2 messages that I had left for him to be in contact with me as the claimant to explain the process that would need to be followed following the approval of the claim submitted. Being my first time claiming, my claim's experience has been horrific and not happy with how things have been done. My husband was told that claim was approved and assess was X amount only to be told a different story and amount when I made effort to call Kgomotso again this morning. I fell all communication should have been done with me as a claimant and explained the process with me. Claim department has failed when it comes to TCF
