Failing to change ownership on a write-off
I had an accident in Sep 2013 and the car was a write off. I submitted a claim at Miway & the car was paid off. Two years later I find out that the car is still in my name because Miway failed to do the change of ownership. Now the car is used by some Nigerian guy in Pretoria & every time he takes the car for a service I get calls and smses about the car. When the dealership asks about me he tells them I sent him because I am busy.
I called Miway so they can sort this out and I'm always told that i will get feedback. It's been two weeks now & I still don't know what's happening. I spoke to Olga who advised that Amrita is handling the matter and they'll come back to me, no timeline given as to how long it'll take. I then spoke to Kefilwe who also promised to come back to me. I'm still waiting.
I need to know what's happening as I believe this is an urgent matter. There's someone out there using a car that's is registered in my name, who knows what other information he has about me, all because someone failed to do their work properly.
