EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED MIWAY CLIENT

I have recently reported a claim at MiSmart Dent and Scratch insurance that falls under MiWay.

The damages that was reported was a scratch on the left side of my front bumper as well as damage on the left front fender (partially) and a dent on the left sill. I went to three(03) companies as provided by Miway to get the requested quotes.

I received a email from MiWay informing me that my claim was rejected due to the fact that the one quote was higher than my indemnity amount available and the damage on the sill amount to ripped or torn.

I believe that it will be a waist of time and energy to follow the complaints process due to the fact that the wording contained the insurance policy are designed in such manner that the insured person just can’t be successful.

Sad but true!

I am stunned that the insured person have to receive such a letter after all the premiums was paid and the damages falls in the parameters of day to day motoring but with the smart wording it’s impossible to have a successful claim.

It’s sickening to think that when you need them the most, it’s then when they are throwing you with all the reasons why your claim can’t be successful.

In most instances it’s highly unlikely that scratches will fall within their parameters and if there are dents they have the discretion to decide if it will fall under “dents”.

In short:

MiWay’s scratch and dent insurance consist of almost a page long of what you are not covered for and reading through it, one can’t help to conclude that this insurance are more of a help for the insurer than the insured person.

The ONLY smart thing about this dent and scratch insurance are the WORDING!

It’s just not worth it!!
