Excessive Increase !!

I phoned into Miway to amend the regular driver of one of our vehicles from me to my husband and in doing so our premium jumped up from R380 to R536 that is a increase of R156 just to change that At the same time I requested a quote on a new vehicle and was told I need to install a Anti theft or Tracker I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS WHY AM I PAYING THE INSURANCE Who is paying for the installation of this device that they dont tell you The EXCLUSIONS on the policy took her practically 30 min to read out MY GOODNESS WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HAVING A INSURANCE???? Our Excesses on our cars are so high just to keep our premiums to be affordable for us as we all know Covid and the Lockdowns has crippled a lot of people financially and everyone is trying to keep head above water but it seems that some Companies are just biting out the situation WHY DO INSURANCE COMPANIES RAISE INSTALLMENTS EVERY YEAR WHILE IN FACT OUR CARS ARE DEPRECIATING IN VALUE it does not make sense
