Early Deduction of Debit orders and Struggling to Cancel Policy

My agreement with Miway stated that the Debit Order for my vehicle insurance policy must be withdrawn on the 1st of each month, my income is paid on the last day of each month.

They withdrew the debit order on 28 April and the debit order was dishonoured, and I had to pay a penalty fee of R115.00.

They withdrew again on 17 May 2017 and again it was dishonoured and I paid again R115.00 as penalty.

If only they had kept to our agreement the debit order would have been honoured.

I received money on behalf of my domestic worker on 25 May 2017, and Miway did "moneygrabbing". Miway immediatly withdrew the debit order from money which was not mine.

This is in contravention of the CPA.

I send them several emails cancelling my policy. They did not subtract any money for June, but on 12 June the notified me that the policy remains active and that they are going to withdraw a higher premium. On 30 June 2017 they withdrew R884.99 for a policy I have cancelled more than once.

I have new insurance at Standard Bank and this month I have paid double insurance premiums.

I have cancelled this policy in writing several times, and still Miway keep it active.
