DO NOT USE MIWAY INSURANCE !

Had an accident and the towing company claimed to be covered by Miway. After a long couple of DAYS trying to contact miway to find out what is happening with the vehicle and where it is they had still no information . Eventually they got the vehicle to their salvage yard for assessment after a R30 000 rand bill added to us because the towing company was not an approved tower. MiWay then rejected our claim on their terms of "Due Care and Precaution" , fair enough. Now I have a written off vehicle still under finance and owe MiWay an additional R30 000, but it gets even worse. MiWay wanted an address to leave the wreckage at so we sent them a mail (and phoned) and they confirmed to advise us when the vehicle was going to be fetched and delivered to be present on collection. No news for the next few days, I call the salvage yard and they now tell me that the vehicle is not there (start stressing like a normal human being). They had taken my vehicle to the address provided, and handed it to the first person they saw, luckily it was a trustworthy authority however no ID had to be presented and there was no delivery note etc signed. HOW CAN A VEHICLE BE HANDED TO ANYONE WITH THE KEYS??? Now it gets even better, while the vehicle was being repaired the repairer found that the gearbox in the vehicle is not the correct original gearbox. Somewhere between the accident itself and recieving the vehicle back into my own hands the gearbox is suddenly "missing"?? The Gearbox is valued at R60 000 and was in perfect condition at the time of the accident and now suddenly its not in my vehicle and they want nothing to do with it , no responsibility. What sort of insurance assessor cant even see if the gearbox is in the vehicle ? I have been a client with them for multiple years with over 4 vehicles insured by them, say goodbye to my business from here on. This is the first claim i have made and has been terribly unsatisfactory and it shows how they treat their customers. From the time of the accident we have more than R90 000 EXTRA expenses to get the vehicle on the road wich are due to neglect from MiWay doing their job . To this day, calls do not get answered and when they do they just make you hold for someone else for over 30 mins!!!!DO NOT USE MIWAY INSURANCE, IT IS THEIRWAY OR THE HIGHWAY.
