DO NOT TRUST MIWAY AND NEVER EVER USE THEIR TOWING PEOPLE

On the 22nd of March 2018 I was on my way home and it was raining terribly, I hit a pothole and ended up with a flat tyre! I am sitting next to road and I call my husband because its just a flat tyre right…so before my husband gets there a tow truck driver approaches my car and asks if he can assist, I told him my husband is on the way and that we are fine. My husband gets there with my baby in his car and the tow truck driver “Fanie Smit” comes to my husband asks him if he wants help, and if so he must call Miway and get authorisation first. So we phone Miway and the guy that assisted my husband on the phone’s name was Cornè, Cornè tells my husband we can proceed with Fanie and that it has been authorized. Fanie sits in his car and also logs a call for a tyre change – while my husband is outside in the rain trying to change the tyre – Fanie just sits in his car on his behind and claims for something he is not even doing, my husband struggles to get the wheel off as it was a bit stuck (this is normal as it hasn’t been removed in a loooong while) Fanie gets out of his car, LOOKS at my wheel, GIVES IT A KICK (like that is what it was missing) and says “no” they gonna have to tow my car??? Not even attempting to remove the tyre. Anyway - its cold, wet, late and very dark, I am scared as I am sitting with my child in the car trying praying for our safety, Fanie says we can leave the car with him, he will tow it on a flat bed to Samantha Road depo in Randburg. I grab what I can out of the car, but I am rushed as he now wants to move the car back to see if he possibly can tow or I am not even sure why he was rushing me out of my car, clearly he is scared of rain. End result I leave my license and my very expensive perfume in the car, this I realise when I wake up the next day. I immediately start phoning Miway to secure my valuables – SURPRISE!!! Miway has no clue where my car is…I tell them I have valuables in my car and it has to be secured immediately. SURPRISE 3 hours later Miway still doesn’t know where my car is??? Eventually I am speaking to managers and I am told that they can see my car was towed but it was never booked in so they don’t know where my car was. To make things WORSE…no the claim is being recorded as an accident, it was a flat tyre, that was it, if Fanie just put his back in it he would have been able to remove my tyre so that I could replace it with my spare wheel on hand, but now, Fanie knew towing this car will be of more value to him, NOW – I have a towing company that is clearly taking advantage of my ignorance (not knowing that if he doesn’t remove my tyre then its recorded as an accident) an insurance company that has no idea where my car is and I have to pay excess of R4950 for a flat tyre??? We asked Fanie to tow the car to my house, and he said that he cannot. It appears there is quite a bit that Fanie cannot do, because Fanie also cannot replace a tyre. Okay so where are we…its about noon and I am lost I am defeated and I have been taken for 1 hell of a ride by Miway and its ***boys Eventually I get a call, we found your car and as a gesture Miway is willing to give me a release note to FETCH MY CAR (excuse me) You took my car when you should’ve just changed the tyre, now you want me to go fetch my car (presumably put it on my back – not really sure) NOOOOOO I say, Miway will bring my car back in the condition that they removed it and I will change my own ****** tyre! Great…Nope! Eventually my car gets back and I am too scared to look, my bumper is loose??? Sommer on the left side (flat was on the right) On the right I have beautiful fresh scratches that “anonymous” left for me and then did me the courtesy of circling it with yellow chalk AS IF THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED THERE. Strange, the bottom of my car looks like it is just hanging (WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED THERE? Okay so now at least I have my car back but I want to vomit, I rush into my car to find that this **** had the audacity to ***** my perfume, thank you they left my license, probably should be grateful, if only had I phoned first thing maybe this could have been prevented…OH WAIT I DID PHONE BUT MY FULL COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE didn’t know where my car was for most of the day. So I immediately notify the Manager I have been dealing with, guess what…no reply So now it is Monday, I have changed by tyre and taken my car for a wash, I have notified Miway that my car was ******ed up. Monday afternoon – Assessor phones, he will come assess my car tomorrow – perfect Tuesday - Assessor looks at my car and says my bumper is very loose, can I please open it up, GREAT? NO! Open up my bonnet guess what…the people that was supposed to keep my car safe, made a dent in my bumper, removed my bumper to push the dent out (which is clearly fresh and visible also confirmed by the assessor) and heard I wanted my car back today(Friday) and then quick CABLE TIED IT BAC****!!!!!!! I am so ready to quit my day job and just hand out flyers to the public to just warn them not to trust Miway and its ***boys, I am so disgusted with the little ownership you have taken, I haven’t since had 1 call to apologise for the inconvenience or to give me feedback on what is actually happening. Everything you could make a mess of you have, I have suffered so much damage from the word go because of the trust I had in my insurance.

Shame on you MIway
