Disappointed

On Jan 28 2020 I contacted my way to change my debit order date to the last day of the month effective feb 2020 (to be noted the jan deduction had already been deducted on the 25), at the time of my call their system was off line and the agent promised to call me back which they did.

I spoke to a gentlemen by the name of Ramsy Kgosana @ 16:45 that same day we successfully changed the date to my preferred date and he also advised that feb deduction will be a bit more as they will have to prorate for the rest of the month (from prev debit order date to last day of the month) I did not have a problem with this.

That’s same day I then received a revised coversheet @4:45 with the amount of R4596.02 I wrote back to them querying the amount and this was rectified another cover sheet with amount which I was happy with R3788.48.

To my surprise on 01.02.2020 miway then debited my account with R1444.49 which I queried the same day which was a Saturday and there were no consultants to assist and was advised that the turnaround time was 72 hrs. Really 72 hrs when you are the one at fault? Monday no follow up call from them I then called on Wednesday and spoke to Ntlamo Ngobeni who admitted that there was a mistake (SYSTEM ERROR ) on their side and they debited an incorrect amount R1444.48( which he could not explain by the way ) and that this will be reversed and I will be credited about R807.54 and that will take 7 working days.

Today 11.02.2020 I receive an sms notification that refund of 686.55 has been processed and will be paid with in 48hrs. What happened to the R807.54? Can someone provide me with the calculation for the pro rata amount, and besides why do I have to pay extra when my Jan premium already covered the costs. This pro rata amount is with miway only all my other insurances did not charge me extra yet the date change also affects them?

I am a happy client I just wish they take responsibility and be proactive where they have made a mistake, instead of me having to run around and make endless calls .
