Disappointed
I have been with Miway for 8years insured my first vehicle in 2015 then bought another vehicle in 2021. After 8years on my first claim here's what happened. Buried my mother on the 26th Aug 2023 and on the 02nd September driving back after a week of trying to pick up the pieces I was involved in a car accident. I'm disappointed that I was practically convinced by the assessor that my case doesn't look good for me and I should cancel my claim. I was under the impression the assessor is there to help with my claim but i felt interrogated and started doubting myself as if i had broken some law for being involved in an accident. He was pretty smart about it aswell, keeping his voice low playing good cop. If my insurer cancels my claim it means it's gonna be on my record forever and no insurer would ever accept me as I wasnt honest with my claim. I was in hospital for a whole week and couldn't even go to the police station myself to fill in an accident report. I got discharged on Thursday and on Friday the assessor was there already to get my story i though but little did i know he was trying to find loopholes. I can't prove I was the driver when my accident happened as my partner was seen moving my vehicle at the garage as I was taking a nap to refresh and continue with our journey. My case doesn't look good and it's best if I cancel my claim as per the assessor Anwara Adam. My case only concluded 7 weeks later after my accident and I'm told my claim was rejected, my vehicle is in Boksburg but I the accident was in the Vaal and I need to pay R3926.90 for the towing services because my vehicle cant be released without payment...... Now I understand why people warned me about MiWay.
