Dirty tricks and delays continue
After 20 days of lodging a claim I get this, I don’t mind having to provide this information but I am only getting this email after I have been following up about the delays on getting my repairs done. Miway couldn’t do a simple thing in 20 days but I am given only 5 days.
Can you please fix my car so I can drive back to the area so I can provide the information you require below.
“Dear Client,
With reference to above pothole claim.
Kindly note that we will attempt a recovery from the government for the damage that the pothole caused to your vehicle. This is to assist with the loss ratio of your policy, should this recovery be successful your excess will be refunded.
In order for us to claim against the municipality they require the below (please send me what you have available):
The exact place of the pothole; GPS co-ordinates of the pothole / the nearest crossing street to the pothole; The nearest landmark to the pothole; Photos of the pothole; Copy of ID. Copy of Driver’s Licence of claimant Copy of Vehicle Registration License Certificate The above requirements are from the municipality and not MiWay and without this information the government refuses to look at the recovery.
Please be advised that this information is required within 5 working days, failure to respond will result in Miway being unable to continue with the recovery of your excess, and will proceed to close the file.
We look forward to your urgent response.”
