Delay on paying settlement amount

It's been a month since I had an accident they told they have approved my claim and write off my car but it's been 2 full weeks without hearing from them when I ask the reason they keep on saying they are waiting for assessors to give them directives on when to pay and iam struggling as iam using the car to got to my workplace..please help
