Deceptive Marketing

Took out comprehensive car insurance with MiWay, was told to install a tracking device. I was assured that the company that MiWay has partnered with will install a 'top of the range' tracking device for a dicounted monthly fee and reduced premiums. I contacted Cartrack who told me the specifications of the tracking device as specified by MiWay. The features and services offered by that tracking device by Cartrack was pathetically basic with almost no option to upgrade or add additional services. I contacted Miway yesterday to enquire why such a pathetic package would even be considered to clients and was told that if I do not take that specific tracking package as defined by MiWay (even if I install a better, more advanced tracking system ) I would lose other benefits such as not paying excess in the event that the car is not recovered after theft or hijacking or having my monthly premium reduced. On what planet is such acceptable that even if I install a suprerior device than the basic nonsense that MiWay specifies, I will be denied additional benefits or discounted premiums? Clarification is needed, or perhaps a switch to a more logic-oriented insurer.
