**************** by Miway
I've been a Miway client for years and had one claim a few years back. Last night my car got broken into. As frustrating as it is to have to deal with it. The cherry on the cake is not the violation of my privacy but the actual day light ******* that is being done by Miway.
This morning when I wanted to submit a claim I was informed the excess for the replacement of the radio and window will be R5310. This is crazy! So I decided to do some research. I got a quote for the window at R850 fitted. I also got a quote for the radio @ R2500. (This is a better one than the radio that was ****** as they don't stock the original one anymore). Now let this sink in a bit. R5350 - R850 (window) - R2500 (radio) = R1960.
Now the question is "why do I pay a premium of about R1000 per month just to get to an emergency and need all my premiums to do its work by saving my car and belongings just to be told that I need to pay R1950 more for a service that I could have paid for if I just took my money and saved it in a bank account.
I understand that people commit ***** and this is a deterrent but I have a perfect profile. Should this not be evaluated on a case by case study? Also the excess should not be more than the replacement value. I don't care that Miway says its is the policy. I am done with this service and being ******. I will be moving my business and informing anyone that will listen to move their business away from Miway.
