****************

Miway Claim number C752891

On the 15th July 2016 our house was burguled and most of our electric appliances like TV's, laptops, Ipads, soundbars and a few other items were ******. In addition to this we had some damage to the property. We informed Miway minutes after the incident happened however now over a month later this claim has not been settled by Miway.

From having to find boxes and till slips and bank statements and pics of items we come to fnd that because we have not submitted anything for a laptop we bought 2 years ago we must get the cheapest version of this laptop which is not what we owned. When we moved to Miway this was not a condition to move where we needed to provide proof of purchase for all items that they were happy to cover in the household. It was advised that if we had we should keep but this is not a rule. How do we now find ourselves on the backfoot with having to take any form of laptop. Here is the statement from the accessor Thabo Ungerer

" As for the Asus Laptop. I discussed it with a manager as well. Seeing that we do not have any proof of purchase on the item we had to get an entry level quote on the item. If you can manage to obtain proof of purchase on the Laptop and forward it to me, I will discuss it again and see if we can get a new quote for you. "

We have not given them POP for all our items and these have been paid but now we must just accept this laptop as if they are doing us a favour. This is **************** and we will not accept this.

In addition to the above we still have security repairs that have not been completed for over a month and a cracked door that was provided by one of their suppliers. I cannot even begin to explain the terrible service level received from a lady by the name of Lebogang Makgato who is at Miway. Where emails and phone calls are never returned, there is absolutely no urgency. This was escalated to her manager Jacqueline Naidoo and I still feel the service is terrible as nothing has changed. We have had a terrible experience with Miway and yet this is what their value proposition is:

"Experience a hassle-free and efficient claims process" This is not the case and we are very frustrated clients who recently moved our business to Miway hoping for a hassle free and efficient experience.

We have never missed a single payment to them and we have provided all the things they have asked for and yet we still have to accept an entry level laptop and continue to live in a house that has not been repaired to the standard that we expect and they all know about this.

This is unaccepatble and this is ****************.
