Customer for many years and being **********.

Have been a Miway customer for many many years and have all my stuff insured with them, 2 Cars, Household and movables. I called in today today to add my new cellphone Hauwei P30 (Valued at R10000) on my policy. The device is is costing me R400 per month on a Telkom contract. Telkom quoted me around R160 to insure my phone with them, I though let me rather call my trusted insurer (Miway) and add it to my existing policy, surely they will give me a better price than Telkom.

I called in and Spoke to Thepo, he advised they can insure the phone for R420 p/m!! I told him there must be a mistake as my device cost on the phone is only R400 and telkom offered me R160. I told him that I'm not happy with this at all and would like to speak to his manager, he puts me on hold for 20 minutes and then comes back to me stating he spoke to his manager and they can get it down to R350 which is still absolutely ridiculous!!

I have been claim free for almost 3 years and still they don't even compromise or care about my point, with only feedback "sorry sir this is the best as per the system".

I feel like I'm being done in by my own "trusted" insurer and for the first time I'm really considering moving my entire policy to someone else.

What has happened to you Miway? This is not the same business leaving you with a sense of they really tried to help me here.
