Come back home promotion hoax

<p>I received a call from a MiWay agent asking to give me a quote to see if they can beat what I am currently paying on my insurance and consider moving back to them. It was said to be a "Come back home" challlenge.</p> <p>Much to my apprehension, dince I had never seen or heard this advertised, I asked for a number where I can call in for myself as I did not have the energy to go though a quote for s joke.</p> <p>I called in & enquired & was told indeed this is a Miway call centre and that the promotion exists.</p> <p>I agreed to do the quote. 30minutes later, I was quoted R1700+ for my 2011 VW Polo and I advised that I pay +- R1500 for Vehicle, building,contents as well as all risk.</p> <p>I was asked to send through my schedule for a like for like comparison and was told that if they fail to beat my what, they would pay me my current premium for the entire policy, not just the car.</p> <p> </p> <p>I sent the schedule through, only to be messed around!</p> <p>I was promised callbacks with soecific turnaround times more than twice and the callbacks never happened. When I call in, I'm told "we are working on giving you a better deal, we will call you back in *** hours... never happened!</p> <p> </p> <p>Today I call & guess what I'm told?! "No ma'am, this was for a R400 payout, not for the Come back home promotion"</p> <p>Luckily- I called them from a recorded line every time so I have proof of what I was told.</p> <p> </p> <p>What a waste of time, what a pathetic attempt to get clients back.</p> <p>This is the type of nonsense that made me leave in the first place!</p> <p>Nobody should be wasting their time doing these quotes with them coz they are all talk!</p> <p>Rather call OUTsurance - industry experts that put their money where their mounts are</p> <p> </p>
