Claims debacle of note.

I have a issue with miway.

On the 25th July 2024 my wife was hijacked and the car was recovered by the police same day behind a informal settlement by a railway line that you have to drive through potholes the size of small cars and through bushes. I know this cause a police officer took me to the car to see the condition and where exactly they found it, even the officer had a hard time getting to the car that was at night.

The car was taken to Bellville South impound lot for storage and take note that the drivers window was smashed in so for a week it stood outside in the elimants and in that week Cape town had persistent rain.

When we took the release forms to the impound lot so that the car could be released to miway I took another look at the car and noticed it had been moved around the yard with a forklift meaning they unloaded the car and moved the car to the final storage spot with a forklift and the forklift tyre tracks were visible in the mud.

The car then was transported to a action company for storage so that it can be assessed. The car was assessed by a guy who's office is in Centurion so I highly doubt that the he flew down to assess the car himself.

Then the claim was approved to repair the car so it was then transported to a body repair shop in Diep River where it still is to this day as miway is making it super difficult for the repairs to be done.

They have authorised 90 percent of the repairs but are refusing to authorise a resprey of the car as they said the car was not in a accident. There are scratches and dents in the car that was not there before the hijacking. We are paying comprehensive insurance which means the car needs to be repaired to same or better condition than what it was before. Now cause MiWay has refused to fix the pain work caused by the hijackers the car is going to rust in the future. Also the repairs shop when questioned did they look for any damage to the chassis of the car or any other problems or faults they tell us that they are instructed by MiWay to only fix what is quoted for and give the car back to client.

We all know and it's commen sence that when you get hijacked they drive the car like idiots and don't care about rules of the road and will damage it and yet the repair company may not drive the car or look under the car to assess any other damage that may have occurred on miways instructions.

MiWay also refuses to replace the radio cause in their words they didn't ***** the radio it self they only stole the face of the radio, so tell me what good is a radio without a face? From the pictures that were sent by the repairs shop they also stole the door speakers.

This is the worst service I have ever recieved not from the repairs shop as they are trying their best to help us but MiWay is the ones who is giving the bad service.

MiWay sort out everything that the repairs shop is requesting and stop holding the process up.
