Claim Withdrawn

I logged a claim with MiWay a couple of weeks back. A motorbike that I rent out was in an accident. When I logged the claim I was never told that I am not covered for accidents and I also did not go over my documents to check if I was covered for accidents or not.

The claim was processed and the bike was assessed for damages. I was asked to submit all necessary documents and my motorbike was even collected by the insurance to be taken to the junk yard. I had to handover the keys and original ownership papers to the insurance.

I was then told that my claim was been successful and they will payout, it even got to the point where they requested my banking details. All of a sudden I was told that my claim has been withdrawn as I am not covered for accidents. My issue is that when I logged my claim, the first thing they should have done is to check what am I covered for and I should have been told immediately that I can not claim because I am not covered for accidents. Instead of being taken through the entire process and given false hope about my claim being successful. What annoys me the most is that now my husband received a message from the junk yard that we must come and recover the motorbike within 14 days.

How is that my problem because the motorbike was collected by the insurance at my place and now why can they not bring it back as discussed over the phone. What happens if my motorbike comes back in the condition that It go in? I know very well that strip some parts at the junk yard, what guarantee do I have that did not happen to my motorbike? The time I was busy waiting and filling out documents, I would have made alternative plans about what to do with the motorbike. They have now waisted my time and are causing me emotional stress.

MiWay, you better present solutions because you created an unnecessary problem by jumping a step when I logged my claim initially!

I was hoping that someone would have been in touch with me already. As we speak my bike has been returned from the Junkyard and the battery cover is missing. I want my battery cover, this is exactly what I feared!

Or should I write another review to be taken seriously? In fact you must cancel my policy with MiWay . I am tired of this nonsense already.

It is now the 15th of November 2021 and I still have had no response from MiWay, my motorbike was brought back from the junkyard with a missing battery cover and no one at MiWay is taking any responsibility for it. I am now a nuisance to them and I am not getting any answers.
My motorbike was taken to the junk yard unnecessarily and now I am stuck with a problem that MiWay created and are failing to resolve.
