Claim C769295 Poor service and *********** Claim Advisor: Makhosazana Twala

On the 5 September I was involved in a accident whereby a driver on a Isuzu bakkie: HBV 953 NW, rolled into my front bamper when I was driving to work in the morning, robots were not working. Instead of stopping and checking what happened, he continued driving as if nothing happened. I then stop to check since his bakkie had a big towbar if there were any major damages on my bakkie. My bullbar had a knock and the whole bumper was scracked upon checking. I the continued with my jorney to work since the car was driving fine.

06 September 2016, I decided to file a claim with my insurance (Miway) after I realize that the damages need to be repair and certain parts were broken like my light and the front bumper. I was then assisted by an *********** Claim Advisor called Makhosazana ********** who took all the information and advised me to go to Brinks Panelbeaters since I asked for a panelbeater in Krugersdorp considering my reciding area.

I then went to Brinks Panelbeater as per the email which was send to me by Makhosazana for my appoint. I got there no reservations were made for my assessment but eventually I got assisted since I had my Claim number.

Then on the 07 September I got a call from a gentlemen who wanted to make an appointment for me, I then advised him that assessment was done on the 06 September by the *********** Makhosazana, they just have to send a form so that It can be completed by Brinks Panelbeaters for their findings.

On the 08 September 2016, I then received a call from Makhosazana telling me that my claim has been finalized by their assessor (Miway) and the cost of the vehicle were around +2000 (Can't recall figures properly)...and since my excess is 3500 and the cost of repair are around the stated above figure she will have to close the claim and the damage on my car I will have to incare the costs of repair. I then asked her if she can give me the contact detail of the person who did the assessment and found the cost to be around +2000. She then said she will forward me the report allong with the details of that assessor.

She then forwarded me an email with an attachment document regarding the cost of my bakkie. That attachment was not written properly and no costs were shown and sadly the format was PDF, I couldn't convert it so that I can make sense out of it. I then check on my app yesterday the status of my claim, I found it to be closed.

This is the worse service I have ever experience from MiWay...I have a broken light, a dented bullbar and a cracked bumper and the cost are way less than my access. All I want to know is how the assessor from Miway arrived to this figure and why did they close my claim without repairing my bakkie. All this defeat the purpose of having a comprehensive insurance if one is going to be treated like this.

The standard of Miway has fallen drastically I must say, I recently insured my other car with them...with the treatment I received I am considering to take my business else if this issue is not resolved and I will make sure I spreed the word of how I was treated to all my friends, family and colleagues who are using Miway. I want the repair in my bakkie to be attended to ASAP, this is so unbecoming.
