CELLPHONE AND CAR CLAIM Declined
Been with MiWay since 2009<br> 2June2015, took out a Cellphone cover. 2-3rd Week of June stated under Oath that Cellphone is missing. and Blocked it. Claim was opened with Miway C644131. 31 July 2015, my wife gets hit by a Truck which failed to stop and intersection. Car written off. police came to scene, and Claim C653116 logged. 1st week of August coincidentally get a call from MiWay regarding my cellphone claim. Questions around when last i used my cellphone etc. It was made very clear that the car claim will not be addressed until the \suspicious"loss of my cellphone is dealt with! With my wife being hospitalized and the transparent thread of bank owing car - not much sympathy / humanity was expressed. I made it clear that i have more than one phone"

We apologise for any inconvenience caused but we are unable to change the rejection of your claim and /or the cancellation of your Policy as a result of dishonesty. We understand that you are battling to obtain alternative insurance due to this cancellation reason, but MiWay is acting within the perimeters of the Policy Contract and as confirmed with our Dispute Resolution Department this decision has been justified and confirmed in their letter dated, 17 September 2015.10.23
