I am highly disappointed in Miway, they seem to prove me right with how they do not care about black clients, Took out a Policy with Miway covering my Houses,cars and houses hold contents. My trust and dignity was shattered when fire 🔥 🔥 burned my primary residence and my home including house hold contents were completely destroyed. Little did I know that from that moment on I was reduced from being a client to a ********.a ***** My woes started after lodging a claim on their App. A very professional person by the name of Sabelo called me to register a claim. He assured me that he will hold my hand till the claim is finalized. He arranged assessors to come and evaluate the home contents. They did come and verified the home contents. There were 12 people appointed by Miway to cone verify the claim. Their forensic fire expert who worked hand in hand with the Fire Marshall 🔥 the outcome proved that the cause of fire was electrical fault. Thus eliminating Arson as the cause of fire🔥 🔥 when I was still dealing with Sabelo they decided to remove him from the case because " as per the new appointment Miway Assessor " Sabelo was not qualified enough to deal with such a huge claim" Andre was appointed to oversee the claim. He came down and re did everything that their expert independent assessor did. He was very rude and ******. He first complained about the person who sold me the policy saying he was not professional. He says he should have asked more questions when he asked me if I conducted business on my premises and I responded with a "Yes " he was supposed to have digged deeper. Because had he did that he was just going to refund my premiums. I said the guy was jusr being a sales person doing everything to satisfy and make the client feel at ease.. He went on and on about this Black person who sold me the policy is now going to cost them money. After talking my statement and spending 7 hours with me asking me questions he says according to him there were no clothes in the main bedroom so I must just be honest and say maybe my wife took the clothes to the laundry 🙃 or maybe to the dry cleaners. When I asked him how can the say that ?he said maybe i forgot? Insinuating that we were lying when we said our clothes burned.The way he went about his investigation was very un ethical. And my dignity and respect was destroyed as he went to the neighbors asking if they know what caused the fire 🔥 7 weeks after he received a full report from his fire expert and the fire Marshall detailing the cause of fire..he accused my wife of lying about her clothes value he accused me of not having shoes in the bedroom cupboard as shoes do not completely burn they must form some rubber to prove that there were shoes in the room. He further wrnt to the sherif office to find out if maybe I don't have any default pending? 8 weeks down the Line I am still waiting for feedback from Miway about the claim. They do not care about where one sleeps after the fire destroyed the house. What am I wearing in this 8 weeks as the fire destroyed everything. His attitude towards black people and he lnly believes that white people are the most decent and loyal people and Black's are just there for the taking.according to him he needs to save Miway money that is shy he had to drive from Pretoria to Bloemfontein. And that if he picks it that I have **** about the clothes he will decline the whole claim . I am yet to receive any feedback from him. But I know from his uttering he will find a reason not to pay the claim even when he sees all the proof of burned items. Black lives matter Andre. Please treat every person equally I bet if this claim was of a white person it was going to be finalized in less than 3 weeks and they could have been given alternative accommodation and the claim treated in the dignified maner
