BEWARE ADDITIONAL EXCESS: CLAIM HUSTLE FREE

I had an accident recently, claiming was not an issue with MiWay at all (Excellent Service). The only thing i did not like and this is a WARNING to other CLIENTS of MiWay: If you get an accident alone (e.g., Maybe you hit a pothole and your car is no longer drivable anymore), you will have to pay two types of Excesses:

1. R2000 excess because you had accident alone (meaning you did not collide with anyone, so u pay MORE for not colliding with anyone). 2. You pay your BASIC excess.

In my case i paid R2000 (FOR BEING ALONE) + R5500 (BASIC EXCESS) = R7500

So you ask yourself why should i really pay so much money because i had accident alone?

So if i could have collided with another car, my excess was going to be R5500, easy. This is a total ripoff and it doesn't make sense at all.

As much as there is something called additional excess from other companies, i have never heard of excess that one has to pay because you HAD ACCIDENT WITH A POTHOLE.

DON'T GET ME WRONG, MY CLAIM WAS HUSTLE FREE, JUST LETTING YOU KNOW JUST IN-CASE YOU HIT A POLE NEXT TIME. SO MY ACTUAL RATING IS 100%, WITH A SINGLE STAR.
