BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH MIWAY CAR INSURANCE YOU COULD HAVE A ROUGH RIDE

This is my experience, I had an accident with my car, initial service from the staff was so efficient, I could never fault them until I got a WhatsApp message from Nuwagon Autobody telling me that they would like to do my car, which I thought was strange even before my got there, firstly I never got a hard copy of what I am insured for, then the problems started all I knew that I have to pay a R5000.00 excess their quote was about R26537.00 I was told the Handler was in charge in the claims department and the claims department would get hold of me, the claims department only certified R14319 and never paid the towing fees to take my car to my panelbeater which they are responsible for, also they wanted to write my car off and give me R40000.00. my car is a collectors item it's a two door golf 4 , now Miway got a quote for about R26500 and you minus the R5000.00 excess you are left with R21500.00 plus the towing fees, my car is now with a different panelbeater so where is the difference of monies to be paid out to me, seems like I was taken for one helluva ride and my advice to all clients of Miway or any insurance company to read their documents carefully especially if you don't want to have a rough ride like I did, I will be taking up this matter with the ombudsman
