Bad service when trying to cancel policy!
I managed to get a better premium from another insurance company and phoned MiWay on Monday morning the 27th of July 2015 to cancel my policy. What a mission! I was put on hold twice for what seemed like a long period while the call centre agent apparently tried to put me through to someone that could help me as she said she did not have the authorisation to cancel my policy. Eventually I was told that someone would phone me back within 24 hours.

Nobody phoned me back. More than 24 hours later I phoned MiWay again and eventually spoke to someone that said he could help me. After I made it clear that just wanted to cancel my policy he became rude and not very helpful. He told me I had to give 30 days notice before the policy could be cancelled. He pointed me to a clause on page 2 of my policy that I could not find.

I have never had an insurance claim while with MiWay but I am shocked at the treatment and bad service I received when I tried to cancel my policy. Seems they have never heard of TCF or Treating Customers Fairly and if they have don't agree with it.

On the 1st of August 2015 my debit order went off despite my request to the contrary!
