BAD EXPERIENCE ON INSURANCE CLAIM.

Hi Good Morning. I would really wish to get some advice from anyone who went through what i did while busy with claiming for vehicle insurance with miway. Unfortunately this was in mid 2018, i was involved in a car accident, while busy with claiming process the assesor who was helping with insurance claim apparently went to where i was prior to my accident and requested cctv footage for me claiming that i was drinking alcohol. My question is are this people allowed to get access to invading my privacy by checking my whereabouts and request for cctv footage. Unfortunately my car was beyond repair and i was adviced by the assesor to withdraw my claim since i was in a bar. I did not drink, no proof was provided. But what i need to know is it allowed for them to invade my privacy in that way?

A friend of mine adviced me to open a case with my lawyers since they invaded my privacy, i spent soo much on fixing my car since i was told by the assesor that they won’t approve my claim. Little did i know i panicked and withdrew. The police where available at the accident scene and it was stated that i was not drinking alcohol, no bloods where taken. Can you please help me here. Do i have a case to press charges for invading my privacy? Please help
