Bad and awful service by Miway!

I got into an accident on the 1st October 2024 around 5pm in the afternoon on my way home, bumped by a truck. Called my insurance and they asked me questions, I took pictures, sent them and they arranged a tow truck to fetch my vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the as*****t Centre on the 3rd of October and assessed on the 7th of October at 17:54 by the MiWay assessor. My vehicle was then towed to the panel beater on the 11th of October for it to be fixed.

According to the assessor, the cost to fix the damages is R5940, which is less than my excess amount and I was then suppose to be liable for the costs, which I didn't have a problem with. However, when I visit their recommended panel beater, they did their own assessment which then proved that the repairs were going to be more than R6k. Upon learning this, I called the insurance to let them know that the repairs are over R6k. They then said a new authorisation will be done, this was on the 14th of October. I followed up with them since then with them not telling what the delay is because they had to do was to do a new authorisation.

The panel beater could not do any work on my vehicle because the initial assessment had an error. They wrote that my excess amount is R9k when it's actually R6k. They advised that this had to be changed because the costs are more than my excess amount. This is all the insurance was supposed to change on the initial authorisation and consider the new quotation by the panel beater, but they didn't. They found ways to come up with excuses. The damages on my car are the back wheel on the right and the door had a scratch and dent on the rear fender. The assessor claims that there was never a scratch during his initial assessment. Secondly, they are claiming that my car has a lower suspension which is true (but only in front) and don't affect the accident whatsoever. All this occurred over a period that's almost a month (25 days or so) and it has affected my business (income) since this is business insurance and the vehicle is used for that purpose.
