Average Service
I had a car breakdown later afternoon on the said day, I contacted Miway and received prompt response. The consultant told me that my car can only be towed to the nearest safe place ( in this case it was Louis Trichardt ) . I submitted my plea to be towed to Thohoyandou as I stay there . I was told that I have to pay extra money for kilometers, which was around R1820.00. But my concern is: considering the number of years that I have been loyal and good driver who hardly claim I think Miway could have handled the matter differently. through your records and what I can recall, I can go for more than 2 years without claiming. I pleaded with the consulted about this, I ended having to loose the battle and agree ( not by choice) to be towed to Louis Trichardt. I had to organize my brother to come pick me up from Louis Trichardt to Thohoyandou/Sibasa.
on the 10th of January I went back to Louis Trichardt to get the car fixed. I phoned Miway to help me with the VIN number of the car ( Chevrolet Utility), because I was far from it. The consultant told me that they do not have the VIN number and told me that I did not submit it. which I found it very odd because those are the information that Miway has. I immediately browsed through my emails and found a policy document with the details of the all the cars insured , including VIN number.. Was this a negligence or lack of interest in helping me.
My Concern: I think this matter was not handled properly. Miway could have handled this matter better by looking at the loyalty of a *** for additional kilometers mean nothing as compared to all my contributions I made to Miway for past two years without a claim... also considering that I insured more than one car all of which have made no claims recently.
