Assistance with breakdown of car

Like every other day, I got into my car this morning to firstly drop my children off at school and then to make my way to work. But then this morning my car "decided" not to start. I immediately started to panic as my children had to get to school and I needed to get to work, but furthermore, how was I going to get my car to a car service centre to have the problem sorted out.

I contacted my insurance, MiWay, as I recalled having roadside assistance with my policy. I was not sure if my circumstances would fall under "roadside assistance", but decided to phone them in any event.

I was assisted by an agent named Themba. He was very polite and completely understood my "emergency". He was quick and diligent and I was very impressed with manner that he handled my query and so-called emergency. He said that I must not worry and that MiWay would be able to assist with a towing/breakdown service. He was going to get onto it immediately and would send me the information of and/or call me with the breakdown service which was going to assist me. Within a couple of minutes after ending my call with Themba, I got an sms confirming my case number and that a breakdown tow service request has been lodged. Approximately 5 minutes later I received another sms confirming that a breakdown has been dispatched, who the breakdown company was and a contact name and number of the person who will be assisting me (from the breakdown company). A minute later I also received a call from the breakdown company, 911 Rondebosch, confirming my address and informing me that someone should be at my place of residence within 20 to 25 minutes.

Within 20 minutes after the call, the breakdown arrived and a gentleman named Johan assisted with my car. Johan was very friendly and polity. My car was loaded and taken to the requested car service centre.

My experience with MiWay, Themba, 911 Rondebosch and Johan was very pleasant and I would highly recommend their services.
