Assessor Kevin Swanepoel threatened me to back out from claim

This is a complaint letter

Regarding claim number : C879548

I have been with Miway for a little over a year now and had both my vehicles insured with them : My Seat Leon 2007 2l And Opel corsa gamma sport 1.4 2006

On the 18th August 2017 I met with an accident for the 1st time ever which clearly was an unforseen, unfortunate event for me. It hit me real hard as the Opel was my baby...

I had a total black out as i was ill and had meds on an empty stomach that day which may have caused the accident

I called Miway and logged my claim with a consultant named Galo that Monday... this was a 1st for me and the response i have had from Miway was shocking... no sense of compassion or morality... she just went on to log the claim

My wife even mentioned she sent an email regarding her call quality and to date...no response...

So i find it rather dificult to digest that Miway is receiving good ratings... as this is so undeserving and possibly internal "compliments" forged by their very own to make themselves look good

Anywho It was later discovered that my vehicle had been regarded as a write-off

That Monday i received a mere email from the assessor name KEVIN SWANEPOEL who requested for a signed consent letter for my cellphone records etc. NO phonecall at all, no urgency and no professionalism

On 05 Sept 2017 he phoned my wife to ask her for my parents contact info which she provided although it was not relevant

He called my dad and harassed and interrogated him asking him questions about MY vehicles condition prior to the accident etc and was misleading him to agree to untrue statements ...

He even asked to speak to my mother... my parents are old and have enough to worry about and he just added to their stress

What the hell does my parents have to do with my accident or claim????

I have never skipped a premium...never gotten a thanks from Miway... never gotten any consultant checking if i was okay after the accident...or any sort of sympathy nor empathy

Today the 6th of September, for the 1st time, I have met with KEVIN SWANEPOEL, im not the type of person to get in peoples way of their duties so i gladly tried to be of assistance in any way i could...to get my claim sorted after a long enough wait

So he might have already requested my medical reports etc

To my surprise this man had cornered me in his vehicle today and made several threats and accusations-i was simply disgusted and lost hope immediately... he constantly attempted to mislead me into agreeing that i had taken drugs or knocked into some other guys vehicle yet i advised him a time too many that i had a black out and was unconscious at scene where i was transported to the hospital by the ambulance He intimidated me by boasting his previous occupation being "police detective" and treated/interrogated me like a ******** with absolute *******

And as if THAT wasnt enough..he threatened my JOB!!!! This man treated me like a ********!

I feel so humiliated and victimized just coz this guy wants to make some extra bucks in saving Miway from paying me out

I am absolutely offended and apalled by the lack of respect and professionalism toward Miways clients from both consultants and assessors

I am considering cancelling my other vehicles insurance with these *******s as well and I URGE ALL OF YOU TO NOT GET FOOLED BY THEIR CHEAPER PREMIUMS...U PAY LESS_ YOU GET LESS.. THEY WILL FIND EVERY REASON NOT TO PAY WHATS RIGHTFULLY DUE TO YOU, THEY THREATEN AND ACCUSE YOU..

Kevin gave me 2 options : he will set up a meeting with both his manager and my manager which is irelevant ...what does my job have to do with this insurance/claim???? Either that or that i take back my damaged vehicle and pay for the damages myself even after it was considered a write off by Miway themselves

I purchased both my vehicles cash after working my butt off and to be treated in this manner saddens me..
