Appalling service

I have been with miway insurance since 2014, I have been a loyal customer and over the past 4 years they have been good to me until recently when I had to claim for an accident that they said it was a write off.

1. Their consultants called me with regards to the condition of my car after the accessing was finished. They said I needed to choose between fixing my car for a certain amount which I cannot recall or writing my car off for R54 000.00. I chose the write off

2. Two weeks passed without getting any joy after taking my car and making me send all the relative paperwork, by that time I was dealing with Felicia Naidoo who was not a good consultant as she does not reply or keep you updated with your claim

3. On the 3rd week, only they told me that the car was insured as a code 2 instead of a code 3, remember I do not know anything regarding car codes and so on. So now the payout will only be R37 000 after they deducted the access and other staff.

4. What a difference? then I asked to speak to Felicia Naidoo's manager who is Mandisa Xulu. She is worse than Felicia because I had to send her more than 4 emails before her colleague Lesego could let her know that I was looking for her. There was no response on all my mails

5. I then wanted the 1 original option which was to have my car back and they must fix because their offer had changed. Mandisa told me that there was nothing she could do as she had listened to the tapes (that I asked to also listen to) but were never sent to me, and I am the one who confirmed that the car was a 2nd code and not a 3rd... still do not know what that means.

6. I was promised by her that I would get my refund for all the premiums that were overcharged as a result of the codes and I have been trying to follow up with Felicia on how far they are with my refund.....No response as usual.

7. I then got another debit instead from miway of R50.03 after I had said they must just cancel everything that has to do with me & them as I do not want to be associated with people who say this and do the other.

Overall I accepted the R37 000 grade 3 payout but I am still waiting for my refund as promised over a month ago and my R50.03 to be returned to my account.
