Andrew

Honestly at this stage of my life. Claiming on insurance has been nothing short of traumatic.

It's my experience that honesty is not the best policy in claiming for insurance because all that seems to happen is on top of the trauma and stress of having an accident you are subjected to waiting periods of 40 days only to be traumatized further and made to feel like a ********.

Whilst I appreciate that I was apparently incorrectly insured. I was honest about the events of how the incident occurred and that was to my own detriment. Then when I tried to reinstate a policy for a new vechile it was cancelled without my consent which I only found out by going online to view it. I was then told that it was a "mistake" but when I called to query I basically told to go somewhere else.

Honestly insurance has made me feel like, take it out, pay your installments, but don't you dare claim because the claims process is called validation but in fact its character ********ation. There is no recourse and no side for the consumer.

I actually don't know why insurance companies conduct themselves in this matter and I do not know why audits are not done by ombudsman to see the training that goes into the staff of these organizations.

Honestly all I can say is get a broker and do not deal with insurance by yourself. You will be demoralized, more traumatized on top of the trauma of your accident and loss to your asset.

I can't fight because the ombudsman doesn't return feedback on my complaints which is hardly surprising considering that miway got rid of me as fast as they could and then told me If im not happy I should go to the ombudsman knowing full well I suppose that nothing would be done by the ombudsman. Honestly I cannot describe the level of disappointment and sheer disbelief in insurance.

There are not words for the treatment you get, this when you're meant to trust a service you're paying for and when you claim on that service your life is turned into a living nightmare.

I dont want a callback from miway honestly the abuse has been enough, the debt I have is unconstitutional.

I really really hope that I am an isolated case and this isn't been done to many more people who work hard and try their best to be good citizens.

Your team arrogantly told me that nothing will be done and I am just to accept what happened. I am not surprised. Dumbfounded at how this type of behavior towards paying cliental is tolerated but in a country where regulating isn't a priority I shouldn't be surprised... disappointed and utterly faithless in any insurance provider is likely the most accurate way that I feel. It's no wonder that 2 out of 3 cars in SA are uninsured... because honestly who wants to go through this type of hell
